The Recycl'App — By KIDS...

Recycling isn't a chore. Just keep it damn simple :)...

This is a Great Transition project intended to create a vast dynamic of intra-community recycling initiatives. The underlying goal is to create a new form of urban environmental scouting based on the pillars of solidarity, education, and environmental consciousness. The tool that we developed to reach this goal is an application where inhabitants register their recycling actions that are pooled together with the actions of their neighborhood, creating a virtuous cycle sustained by educational content about recycling.

What does Recycl’App look like?

A daily journal

The daily journal will allow the user to check how much she recycles, what she recycles the most, and to scan her products to make her aware of its life cycle depending its materials, production methods, recyclability, repairability, etc.

Activities

The activities inform users on events organized by public organizations (schools, municipalities) and other initiatives, taking place anywhere in the city and intended for all segments.

Green record

The green record is the main component of the “competition” between communities. It informs you on your community ranking and allows you to invite more people (friends, family, neighbors, anyone!) to join the movement.

Time to learn stuff

This section is intended to keep our users up to date on live news and environmental facts. In this section you will also find the DIY (Do It Yourself) lessons and other educational content where you will find great ideas on how to give a second life to your daily products.

Around you

This part of our app informs our users about their location, the virtual and physical community they belong to, ongoing activities around them, and the closest and most convenient recycling opportunities.
